Disastrous Vay-cay

As I have wrote about before on my blog, I have a never ending relationship with my ex-boyfriend, Donnie. Lately, since our vacation to Orlando in September [before I moved here], we have gotten a bit closer and more understanding of each other. We are slowly easing out of the stubborn stage and letting our feelings be known. That being said, it still doesn't resolve any of the constant issues that we have.

Alot of my friends and family think the reason I moved down to Orlando was to be closer to him, but to be completely honest I just wish I could start my new life without him. He is like a leech and just won't stop sucking all my energy. I can't cut him out of my life, I am addicted. Not to him as a person, just the thought of what could be if we were to grow the fuck up. I am done blaming him for our constant arguments and disrespect towards each other. I have noticed I act like I am better than him and so he shoots it back just as hard. I need to learn to not dish it out if I can't take the heat.

[This is not Donnie, but his frat brother Will and me from the weekend]

Moving on, the reason this topic was brought up, is because I took another trip to Boca Raton this weekend. For some odd reason, we make an effort to see each other more than most long-distance couples. I usually have more fun with his frat brothers than I do with him down there but this trip was just ridiculous, I wish I would have never went. Oh well, no use dwelling on it though.

Dear 2010, please send me love. Or better version of my other half.

FAVORITE MOMENT OF THE WEEKEND:

I was having a conversation with one of Donnie's newest additions to his frat, Daniel. We were talking about school and what we were studying and what not. I had mentioned that I was going into fashion mechandising and he told me how obsessed he was with fashion, the kid was amazing.

Me: So why did you join Sammy[The frat]?

Daniel: Because purple is my favorite color[Frat color are purple and yellow].

Me: Are you sure your not gay?

Daniel: I'm not sure.

[Drunk Daniel wanders off to enjoy an eventful night next to the toilet]

Meet my friend Iggy. This silly little iguana decided to make a habitat out of my SUV Sunday morning. I thought it was dead, until Donnie realized on the way to the movies Sunday night it had moved. The thing freaked me out and Donnie was too much of a wuss to get the thing off of my vehicle. Long story short, somewhere on I-95 Iggy flew off. R.I.P.

P.S. Go see Youth in Revolt. It was so cute. And I am obsessed with everything Sheene Saunders wore, so 40s. Very Audrey Hepburn, who like Marilyn Monroe is one of my favorite fashion icons. Old Hollywood glam.

Also, I updated my wedding post here and halloween post here if you would like to check them out :)

  2. The iguana scares me (I have this slight fear of lizards & I live in Florida-WTF). You are gorgeous by the way!!

Home Goods..depending on where you live-closer to Altamonte Springs or closer to Millenia. I-4 West to Sandlake Road and stay right on Sandlake. Follow the road down a bit, you'll pass Whole Foods and a bunch of other restaurants. On your left hand side you'll pass a Publix and then immediately on your right you'll see Dr. Phillips and Home Goods is in that plaza facing the road. You cannot miss it. The Altamonte Springs one: I-4 East to exit 92 and stay left. Follow that road down quite some way and Home Goods will eventually be on your right.

I haven't been to the Altamonte Springs one in a long time, so double check if it's still open. Have fun shopping doll. Home Goods is awesome.

  4. no way! i'm in boca right now! It's gotten pretty cold down here at night, but being a new englander, it feels nice to have the day time temperature above freezing.
