FSU Game Days

Tallahassee is known to be a college town, and that it is. Every home game is flooded with eager fans who are surrounded by grills, kegs, beer-pong tables, and the occasional game of cornhole. Unfortunately, I honestly don't think we have won a game all season, but that doesn't discourage our 'Noles to keep on cheering the team on!

Since I try to stay out of Tallahassee as much as I can lately, I have missed every single home game except for this Saturdays game. I was reminded the reason I stress over these home games. You have to trek across the world to get to our lot where we tailgate and by the time you get there everyone is pretty much trashed. I prove my point on why I do not drink ALL DAY LONG myself, I ended up one of those, well later that night. Oh, how I love game days.

I did however pick out an outfit weeks before I knew which tailgate I would attend. Surprisingly, I have had a gold vest from Express in my closet. I love this vest it is so lightweight, considering the Florida heat, I can pair it with so much. I put a garnet cami from Forever 21 under with an old FSU beaded necklace. A "must-have" during game days. . .KIDDING. My shorts are from Hollister CO. and aren't mine. They bothered me a bit because they about a size too big. My jewelry I have on is a gold cuff I purchased from a garage sale last weekend that I am absolutely obsessed with and some white/gold feather earrings I got from Charlotte Russe. They reminded me of Indian feathers, so I thought it went with the scene! I went out on a limb and pulled out my cowboy boots from a recent theme party, and I think it tied the outfit together, well, perfectly considering the occasion!
The night before the game, Dayna and I stayed home from a night of debauchery and made some delicious cupcakes for our tailgate. We used red velvet cake batter and dyed cream cheese icing gold for FSU colors. Very creative, right? Turns out we didn't wait long enough for the cupcakes to cool and all the icing and writing melted off by the time anyone though they were edible. We got the pleasure of devouring a couple the night before, and they were to die for, so everyone who didn't appreciate our hard work, MISSED OUT!

Needless to say I only went out once this weekend. Which is enough for little old me. I felt the pain all day Sunday. This week I am thinking of doing a Halloween post, and I am all kinds of stoked about it, considering I love dressing up in costumes! By the way, sorry for the horrible camera quality, I don't understand why! I need to figure it out, SOON!
